He has worked with some of the most successful commercial companies in the world.

Lou has worked with many, many teenagers over his career and has an understanding of how difficult teenage years can be for many young people.

He himself had one of those difficult transmissions during his teenage years as he was dyslexic and was repeatedly told by one of his teachers that he was dumb and stupid and would never amount to anything in life. The same teacher would humiliate him by having him stand on a chair at the back of the class during her English lessons as an example to others. Other children would taunt and ridicule him over this also because he was extremely short sighted and had to wear glasses with the thickest of lenses. This was a major contributing factor in the deterioration of his self-confidence, self image, self worth and achievements. These situations had a profound negative impact upon Lou’s life and like that of many teenagers he believed he was destined for a life of shame and quiet misery.

On leaving school his step father miraculously managed to get him an apprenticeship with a local textile company which involved attending night school at a textile college in the nearby town of Keighley in the foothills of the Yorkshire Dales. There he had a kind and understanding teacher. Lou approached the teacher at his first lesson and confided in him that he had great difficulty in spelling. The teacher turned to him and in a broad Yorkshire accent told him he was not interested in how something were spelt, he was interested in knowing if his students could understand what he was teaching. He told Lou that if could not spell a word he was to draw a picture and if he could understand the picture for what he was trying to say everything would be OK. Lou drew many, many pictures. This was a pivotal point in Lou’s life because for the first time he could be free to express himself by means of pictures without self doubt, shame, scorn or ridicule, Lou soon became the highest scoring student the college had ever had. His self confidence, self image and achievements were beginning to return with a vengeance.

It was a this point Lou made a vow that he would endeavour to help other young people and teenagers not to go through what he had to endure, so one of his life long passions is helping others to achieve who may not have been fortunate enough to have had a kind teacher in their lives. Lou was dyslexic not stupid, however, dyslexia was not recognised in those days. In fact like all teenagers Lou was quite bright which later life will lay testament too.

Later in life a friend suggested that he should study Human Behavioural so Lou embarked upon a journey of self discovery and self realisation. He became involved with Success Motivation Institute (Texas USA) he soon became one of the world leaders within the organisation. He also studied Sales Psychology and soon achieved a world record for selling which remains unbroken to this day.

He developed a highly successful Advanced Leadership Psychology Development Program which he has implemented in numerous large and small businesses worldwide. With his new found skills he began to develop the “Shine” Teenage Success Blueprint and with fellow colleagues and refined it over twenty years. Many teenagers have been involved during “Shine’s” development. The results that they are achieving are outstanding. 100% of those who have been involved in the “Shine” Teenage Success Blueprint have clearly demonstrated a profound improvement in their self-confidence, self-esteem, motivation, enthusiasm, creative abilities, achievements and happiness which is clear indication that he has the formula right. Finally his life passion was now beginning to be realised.

By the way Lou is still heavily Dyslexic, and still needs time to digest information, however, this now doesn’t bother him in slightest, also with modern technology he got his eyes fixed.

Lou believes that success begins in the mind, and he knows the difference between being successful and not being successful, being successful is much, much nicer! One of his affirmations that he lives by, simply reads, “Everyone I meet today will benefit from meeting me”, and they do!
