“Shine” strongly believes that all children are born with ALL the faculties, abilities and talents they will ever need to be successful. It is how these are cultivated and developed that is the secret to a child’s lasting success.
A genius is born every minute
How many children are born to become another, Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Leonardo Da Vinci, James Watt, Beethoven or Bill Gates?
“Shine” believes that there is a genius born every minute. However, in most cases that potential is smothered, not released or realised. All children are successful, some are successful at being successful, others are successful at not being successful – their childhood programming, environment and personal experiences determine which future life path they take, especially at this age!
Success is a choice
The choice we make will determine our success or failure – period! It is a fact that the quality of a person’s life is determined by the quality of their thinking! if a child has developed poor negative thinking as a result of their environment or childhood programming this child can expect to perform poorly in all areas of their lives.

Not “Rah, Rah”
“Shine” is not “Rah, Rah” run around, jump up and down and throw your arms in the air, this is more theatrics. This “hype” type of program has been around for many years and the effects are known to have a very, very short life span.
This kind of Rah, Rah, is OK for football matches and sporting events because it lasts around that long, this must NEVER be mistaken or considered to be lasting or effective motivation.

When not doing well
When a teenager is not doing well in their studies, they do not need to be repeatedly told this by friends, teachers, tutors or parents, they already know this. Doing this only serves to undermine and further erode the little self-confidence and self-respect they may still have!
When someone is lost in the Jungle they don’t need everyone too repeatedly to tell them they are lost, THEY ALREADY KNOW THIS! What they really need is a road map to show them how to get out!

Not competing with others
“Shine” is a success learning medium where a young person can develop at their own pace by themselves. They are NOT competing with others, and feeling inadequate and self-conscious if they are a little slower or do not do as well as the next person, or don’t comprehend what is being said the first time. With some young people learning in a group can be very stressful and leave them feeling dejected if they can’t keep up, by the way the creator of “Shine” was such a person! This is NOT race, this is NOT homework. A young person can take as much time as they deem necessary on each of the components before proceeding. it’s really like having a personal, kind and infinitely patient Tutor on a one to one basis twenty four seven.
If a teenager feels comfortable the entire family can become involved with the system along with them, or after them. In many cases this has proven to be outstanding successful as the family can also be in involved in personal development.
Learning difficulties
Some young people who have been involved with “Shine” have had some form of learning difficulties such as Dyslexia. By following the principles, concepts and ideas many have become highly successful, the creator of “Shine” suffers heavily from “Lexdixia”!!!!!!!
Differing perception styles
It is a well-accepted fact that people have differing perception styles and retention abilities, someone who does not grasp things the first time around could be labelled as being slow or dim! This is not necessarily the case, some young people take a little longer than others to analyse and digest information.
However, if they begin to be labelled as slow in their early or teenage years it can lead to frustration, frustration can lead to anger; anger can lead to either violence of apathy. Either one leads to FAILURE!
Allowances have been built into the Blueprint during its design, it compensate for differing perception and learning styles.
A confident child is a less stressful child; a less stressful child ALWAYS gets better results at whatever they attempt in life.
